Tank move

Can I lay a tank on it's side when I transport it or does it have to be upright?

I've done it but would not recommend it since the bracing and design of the tank is made right side up. However I was in a jam and had to lay it on its side. If the tank is small (10 or 20 gal) I don't think you'll have a problem. Its the larger tanks that may have issues.
