Tropic Marin regular (not PRO):

I m just curious whats your ph, cal and ALK reading ?

I m a bit concern cuz i read some infos about it, it said its low in mg, cal under 350 and ALK high in 10's ??

Thats why i want to hear from you guys..

I would stay away from tropic marins if you are doing reef, had bad experience with it.

I use RO/DI water and I've been using Tropic Marin (switching over to EVS shortly) and I've had a very hard time getting Mag, Ca, Alk and Ph in line. I've dosed with EVS two part and that helped to get the Ca up and I also did a dose of Seacham Reef Builder to increase Alk, but my Mag is still low and Ph on the high side. Parameters with Tropic Marin:

Sg: 1.024
Ph: 8.4
A: 0
Ni: 0
Na: 10 (I have canister filters so I think this is the cause of the higher Na, not the salt)
Ca: 410
Mag: 1110
Alk: 3 meg/L

I use Salifert test kits. The Tropic Marin is pricey and I hate the idea of adding the extras to the tank so I'm going to give the EVS salt a try.

I've used TRP since I started the hobby never had a problem systems doin well I dose 2 part evs and also mag I've never used the regular but would recommend the pro

Just switched to reef crystal and see great results with my sps..

wow....bought a bucket .

I will return it..lucky i havent open it yet.

maybe i should stay with Red Sea Pro....My only problem with it is low in ALK 7-7.5...all i want best balance without use dosing 2 parts.
