Type of monti cap

Someone please identify this for me!! It is a monti cap, the lower(newer) portion of it is bright green, and the older stuff is more a redish purple, polyp color is a deep red /dark purple and why is the edge white? Is that new growth?

Doesn't look like growth, it would have more white around the edges not just random spots on the center or close to the center of the coral. What are your tank parameters? Cal,alk and mag as well as the basics like nitrate and ph. Also what type of lighting are you using? Has it turned white rapidly or over time? Any info will help

Cal 520 alk 9 ph 8.2 nitrate .25 kessil sea blue plus dual t5 one actinic one 10k it's not near anything that can sting it... Maybe during transport ?

ur par are a little off ur cal should be around 425-450 and ur alk 8 or around there also how much flow u have on it monti dont like killer flow

Evil are you dosing? Or just using a salt like Red Sea coral pro?

Your alk is fine. Cal is high and will be shooting your alk consumption up the more its raised.

Lower your cal to around 420-460 so you can get an accurate consumption on your tank.

What is your magnesium at?

What test kits are you using?

Using API reef master kit... Not killer flow its indirect off the side glass, how do I lower cal? I use reef crystal salt mix and I dose vodka daily and ad alk once a week (or ten days depending on lvls) I never dose cal though, so how can it be this high? And does anyone know what type of cap it is? Is it anything special or just a common type of cap?
