what do you stain a canopy with?

I finally just finish my canopy and i was wondering what everyone uses to stain it? im going for a black finish for the out side to match my stand. If any one knows of any good products let me know.

Krylon ultra flat black. Depends on what you are into. You can do sparkly pink paint if that makes you happy.
