Bus is almost 1300$, plus a tip to the driver. 56 people can fit. Finding a smaller bus is pretty hard, I have been looking.

Have you guys considered a passenger van? I think you can get them by the day with a driver for much, much less - and they run in sizes that seat 9, 12, or 15 people.

Hi James, I don't have any particular recommendations - we used to rent them for shoots and supply our own driver so I'm out of the loop on exactly what you need.

No problem, it is a really good suggestion, I am planning this from the mind of a field trip (teacher) so I was only thinking coach buses. This may be a really good option for us. I will look into it this weekend. Thanks.

Looking into it a 15 passenger van is going to run around 300$ plus tax, gas and tolls. Van doesn't get good mileage and the trip is about 300 miles RT. Figure we are looking at around $30 pp as it stands without any help from MR and probably closer to $20 with their financial assistance.

My big problem with this is I have an event that weekend that requires me to be upstate.... I was going to drive this van if we get this trip off the ground (former college security guard, I used to drive the shuttle! So, anyone comfortable driving the frag passenger van (doesn't require any special licensing)?
