Like I said, it's MR's rules.
? You will only make price offers in member posts that are specifically looking for pricing information
Do you really think that, that has anything to do with posting prices in their own forum?
Did you notice that some vendors (Maximum for example) do post their prices?

Vendors choose to not post prices for THEIR own reasons...which 'personally' I think is a mistake, because many people just 'move on'!
If you post a pic of a special coral, tell me the price and you will know right away if I'm interested!

That's how rumors start and divorces occur :irked:

#1 most vendors have stores, the pictures are to show inventory and incite a store visit

#2 taking the pictures is already time consuming, can you imagine editing a description to each

#3 and so on and so on and so on

If you want the price, PM them and go visit I guess

I have to disagree with you. Its alot more time consuming to answer 30 pms with the same message then to just have written in the first place.

I also have to agree with albano i feel like it is a mistake also. (I.e max reef) when they post there prices on a day there having a special the turn out is ridiculous. People actually wait in line for a number. On the other hand myself and as i see in this thread other people just keep it moving when no price is listed.

whatever, I see pictures I like and I visit the store.

Max reefs use to post prices occasionally not just for super special sales.

most of use are just cheap and want a super bright scoly for $25 and some of us know that a scoly is pricey, we see pictures, we see what we have been looking for and we visit the store but whatever

I can tell its a slow news day, guess the Boston thing is not big enough.

Youre right, but point being it still attracted people to the store.
I dont understand what people being cheap has to do with vendors posting there prices. If its a piece worth $125 i dont want to drive all the way to the store and find out its $200 at the store.

So do you really think if a vendor posts a picture of a gorgeous piece and he post lets say a 200 dollar price tag that members will go to his store knowing he wont pay that type of price with a high price tag on that one piece? No they will think everything in their store is expensive and move on. If they went to the store and saw that pieces price and they thought it was high they will shop around and buy something else. I for one cant agree more of not posting a price if i owned a store. Some stuff is higher priced then other but they wont find that out without visiting. There is more the a LFS then just there fish and coral selections they also want to sell there dry goods

I think they are trying to avoid competition between them and the other vendors.... because if they post a price, then another vendor might go a little cheaper and so on...... To me personally i think it is counterproductive, why go through all that work to take and post pictures, then to have most of us just look pass it.....

it's clear that most vendors lose sales from not posting prices .last week i finally drove out to max reefs only because he got a new order in and they posted some prices of live stock if it wasn't for the prices posted i would had never made it out their
