I have been running Kalk since I started in reefing using an electronic solenoid hooked up to my ato. knock on wood it is still functioning.

I have the bubble Mucus dose alk cal and mag 24 times aday by far the best thing I have ever bought went away for 10 days come home tested it was on the money I would leave it of a month no problem

super cheap and easy way to do this plus no "accident"
if you're using kalk just to bump up your ph because of the cal. reactor, just take a gallon milk jug, some air line tubing and a valve and slowly drip it at night.
mix 1-2 teaspoon with a gal. of ro/di and let it sit over night. so make a new gal. every day, takes only 2 min. monitor ph every day and adjust accordingly.
