make an outline and go to a glass place and they can make you a glass cover. If yyou want a mesh cover then look for Kathy's thread about how to make one.

The downside to a glass top is twofold -
1- it cuts down on your light
2 - it inhibits oxygen exchange

i went to home depot earlier today, bought the stuff for the "kathy cover" if you want to wait till im done making mine, your welcome to mesh for your cover. im in NNJ though, not sure if its worth it for you

I use plastic egg crating got a big piece of it at home depot and then cut it to size with cutting pliers, it fits perfect and cost me less then 10 bucks. Plus it allows the heat to escape from the water, unlike a solid glass cover.

I was going to suggest the same. You can easily buy a big sheet of egg crate they are called "louvers" in home depot and in the lighting section. I think it's 10 bucks a sheet and you just cut to size and pop it on.
