By 'tank builder' calculations, it's actually 478g, which they would call 480 or 500gIts actually around 429 gals but it would still be heavy made outta glass!

Don't go glass cages. As far as going with acrylic, I'd say pointless. Your only going to save a couple hundred pounds in weight. If u have the money go with miracles in glass.
+1... have been using acrylic tanks for over 20 years (still have a 120g that I bought in 1993)...Pointless ??? I think you are mis-informed. Not only is acrylic lighter it is stronger, lasts longer, scratches can be buffed out and is clearer than glass. I guess these are all pointless...........![]()
