That is not the going price for live rock especially flat shelf pieces, dont mean to upset you but you are wrong.

$2 is the going price for dried up rock or contaminated rock, seldom but it happens will you see live healthly rock being liquidated at $2.

Shelf pieces is prime rock, you will not find it here, store, online or Craigslist for $2.

Be ready to pay $5 per pound at least, private sale

I just saw it on MR a few weeks ago FYI.
And see it on Craigs now and then.
That's what I paid and also sold about 50lbs.
6 months ago.

So, I hate to be the spoiler but I am not wrong.
You just bought yours at the wrong time etc.
The $2 per lb. I got was also a 16" piece of Tonga.
And the rest had purple coraline.
Maybe I got lucky.
But, don't say I'm wrong when clearly you are.

Seriously , u have to be realistic. Just order some from brs and cure it. It's like 4-5 dollars per pound dry. If u only need a small amount. If your lucky you wil find some cheaper but like in golf , nothing is a hole in one and u could wind up with a bogey

Well,

Different story if I never purchased at this price before and have seen it a few times on Craigs and last week here on MR. And as mentioned prior I sold 50lbs. of the same LR at $2 p/lb.

So, I'd say I am realistic. If I can't get this price I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

So, again this is a marketplace NOT a debate.
If you feel the need to debate become a politician and spend so more productive time than criticizing people's posts.

The world would be a happier place without all your negativity.
