Using a reactor for Calcium... The tanks what 50/50 SPS/LPS? PITA to get regulated and more to maintain. JMO just hate to see that tank take a hit if it doesn't need to.

Stargazzer have you ever used a cal reactor? its the safest way to dose the tank if done right and with a controller. every beautiful tank ive seen runs a cal reactor and not a doser and in the past 3 or 4 months 5 people i know that use dosers all lost there tank due to alk spikes from a doser

I may move to a calc reactor in the fall and I need an expert to really educate me and set it up.. My tank is doing great and I'm scared!! Lol

tell me how they can fail. i clean mine out once per month with a compressor and i have it attached to a controller so the ONLY way it can fail and over dose is if my controller AND my reactor fail at the same time

imo a reactor is the safest way to maintain your calcium/alk levels. 2 many failures with dosers..

no not arguing me and stargazer are boys but i could understand if you ran a cal reactor and didnt like it. and the only time i heard of someone having failures is when they dont have a safety like the controller on. and gary when you you are ready i can help you set your reactor up. its very easy

as far as a co2 tank you can go to a welding store and you can get one filled for 120 i believe and when it comes time to replace it will cost you like 20 bucks

air weld in patchogue sells them, they have steel, and aluminum.
