There is no guarantee that a mated pair of clowns will lay eggs in your tank.took my clowns 3 years to produce eggs and your taking a chance spending extra money on a mated pair. If i were you i would get a 2in clown and 3in clown add a anemone and pretty7 good chances they will mate for you. Mated clowns arent that great unless you plan on raising the fry. Other then that i never see my clowns anymore. They are always tending to there eggs down low behind the nem

LOL yeah check out the $10 pair of mated clowns on clownfish depot... Good luck finding a baby clown for $10...
