Then they will start to eat the left overs on the sandbed. Like pellets flake and frozen food.

I dont think they will ever get rid of them, cuz when they attack and burst a bubble, more seeds will be released into the water. I just need them to keep the algae in check.

Wow, do you have that much in your tank? How long has it been? Just wondering? Hang in there! Patience is key!

had them for 2 months, and they are spreading... there are around 30 on 1 rock, 4 on 1 frag plug and 2 new ones on another rock that was clean before.

I had that at one point and I took out the rocks with the bubble algae and scrubbed them down, cured them again and put them back after two months or so. The emerald crabs will go to work on them also, you should be ok.

I would like to do that also but the rock has a large yuma attached to it, maybe next time when i do a WC I can take that rock out and try to scrub in the old water then put it right back in the tank. But I am sure those suckers will come back again.
