Hey Steve,
My buddy in East Meadow has about 150 lbs of nice rock. The tank is being broken down and just the rock and sand is left but still running in his 180g. They are nice pieces in there, I helped him take out the livestock last week.
It's $2 a lb or $250 for it all.

I have some Marco rock that has been curing for a year and a half in a 100 gal horse trough. I had a lot more to start, but this is the excess and I want to get rid of it, as well as the tub. I have no idea of the weight, but can weigh each piece as it's removed. Could be 50 to 100 lbs. I also have more than in the picture below.

The rock was purchased from Marco at NERAC 2011. The cycle was started with ammonium chloride, then at some point I also added Fritz Turbo Start live bacteria. There have been fish (collected tropical strays) living in it since August 2011 to keep the cycle going. There is no coralline algae or hitchhikers on it, but there is a bit of cyano or diatoms (not sure which -- it's brown) on it -- can be scrubbed off with as bristle brush.

Want $2/lb.

I also have a Marco mortar kit, if you are interested.

I'm in Hicksville. Cell # is 516-316-2356.
