Well it looks great and the person I gave it to did a great job with it, my only problem with it was the cabinet space requires a sump the size of a ten gallon tank or a custom made sump , there is very little space down there especially if your gonna use carbon or phos ban reactors!!! Try to see it set up first!! Some petland a and local lfs stores have them as we'll as some petco stores , do good research before buying this tank
What if i told you its for a freshwater setup. 2" white sand on bottom 1 or 2 plastic plants in the back corner to cover heater and canister filter intake and maaybe a few pieces of drift wood here and there towards the front. Thats it. No sump. Only canister filter in cabinet. No Auto top off. Glass lid.
I'd have to agree with saltwaterinbrooklyn. I've made a bunch of custom sumps for people with 54g corner tanks and even though I've always managed to make their sumps work it was always a tight fit to give them everything that they wanted. Just my 2 cents!
Ooooooooooo if its freshwater than by all means buy it!!!! I had it as a cichlid tank wih a large fluval x5 canister filter and it was perfect, I'm sorry I thought this was gonna be a reef tank!!! As a freshwater setup it is a great tank and a real conversation piece !!! By all means buy it !! Sorry once again I thought you wanted it for salt.
I did enjoy it as a fresh or brackish water tank but not reef
It was over kill big time but I controlled it with the ball valves and I did get it as a gift , but also penn plax cascade canisters come with a good pump and a priming button and they are also inexpensive to use and have big media. Baskets , but you have many options in the canister field.
I had a great time with it as freshwater , send me pics when u set it up
Any idea how the dimensions work? Its listed as 39" x 27.4" x 23
Im assuming 39" is from front corner to front corner (not the diameter of the curved glass) and 27.4" is front to back on one of the side glass and 23" is the height?
