My main return pump died about two years ago. My back-up pump, a GEN-X, died during Sandy. I am 90% sure that the problem with both pumps are the impellers. They both push water, but with very low pressure.
Anyone have an impeller they bought and no longer need they are willing to sell for cheap? New I have found the GEN-X impeller for $47 with free shipping. If I don't find something local I will order this.
Alternatively, I would be very happy with a used, working external return pump with a similar footprint as the GEN-X and Iwaki pumps.
