I have to say, I called max reef looking for a price on a certain fish. I have yet to visit the place though. Anyways I hear about all these great prices but the fish I inquired about is almost 100 dollars more there than 2 other local shops have the same fish.

This past weekend was my first drive out to MRA from Jersey. I was amazed at their pricing on most fish. You can get a decent sized purple tang for $65. Most shops will tag you at $125-200 for the same exact fish. I suppose it depends on species and the pricing they get from their distributors, but next time I need a fish I am going back.

Rare fish are going to cost you...But their live stock is always full of life and eating good.

MRA gets most of their fish and corals shipped direct to reduce the cost. In your case
they probably went to a local wholesaler resulting in the higher price. most of their
items iare price between wholesale and retail prices.
