The richest rock I have ever seen is from Indonesia, very popular in Europe, was hard to get this rock in US but now is available.

yeah i guess they dont want people seeding small amounts into large quantities . i just need a half pound really to seed my 3g tank.??! i actually called to ask if i can get less bc i promoted but they said nah and not even a thank you lol

So I am not understanding what you are trying to accomplish... you want to seed your tank with their rock with the same type of bacteria you will get from any other reefers' tanks.

IMO... not worth the trouble or the hassle.

I think he wants all the goodies that come on those rocks, but the chances of any that stuff will actually live is slim. Especially in a 3 gallon tank :/

You do realize that with all of those "So Called" hitch hikers... you are still not limited down to any possible unwanted desirables that go along with it. I'm also sure that any sponges that may be on the rock, when exposed to air will die off immediately.
I'm sure that they would not be sending the shipment wet.

But hey... go for it.

yea looking at the page i realized they may not all be desirable and you bring up a good point about wet shipment. looks legit as hell though.

just so i know - are there any bacteria that are exclusive to certain reefs or more pristine portions of any reef that are more beneficial than others?
im only concerned bc i seem to have only maroon and very little light purple coralline. i figure more variety of bacteria will be good, but perhaps only some are required and better even, without others. do you understand where i am coming from?
