Want to set up 120G Need all sorts equipment

Hi all,

Looking to set up a 120g 4x2x2 tank soon...

Need lights, skimmer, tank, sump.


The tank must be RR.

Lights I would prefer a 6 bulb T5 setup or LED, no MH.

Sump that would be the max size and fit under that tank.

Your best bet for the sump would be to get a 40 breeder and build your own sump. You can grab one during the Petco dollar a gallon sale, not sure when the next one is though. You can get baffles cut to size for your sump and then some aquarium grade silicone, I think mine cost me around 90 bucks and maybe an hour or two of my time.

Good luck with your new setup. What part of NJ are you from?

Just my 2 cents (and may not be worth even that much). I am not a fan of buying a used tank. Everything else not a big deal to buy new. Especially with a 120 thats a good amount of water. People may have a nice tank for sale, but you really do not know how they have it set up. Was it always properly leveled, always had water in it, to keep the silicone from drying out.
