i recall someone on here that does custom acrylic ATO containers? i did a search but couldnt find anyone so figured i'd post...

i currently have a vertex 2.5L dosing container that i use to hold ATO and kalk. i went this route because i don't want to put the container outside the tank cabinet so i have the container sitting IN the return chamber of the sump. 2.5L isn't much as i'm refilling twice a day. i'd like something larger; ie. 1gal or so.

any ideas who would be able to do this? thanks in advance!

You have two options, get a custom made container from anyone that manufactures them OR buy a rubbermaid container that matches your available space, either way its just a water container.

Someone was able to fit a small fish tank in their stand as a ATO.

you have many options.

I agree with all of those above.
Depending on the what you are willing to spend, and what you want it to look like you do have a lot of options:

You can get one made by Customking (i have an AIO nano made by him, nice dude and lovely work. There is a thread in his forum to show his sumps, just gorgeous-this is probably the prettiest and more costly option that will more than likely definitely fit your space. I see the vertex 2.5l has a small footprint. You can get one brand new from Ck or I think I saw someone with a moving sale, selling 3 chambers (for dosing) and then one ATO box. Check the FS threads. i think the used ones were going for 50-70$.

You can use a 5-10g aquarium. The glass frames for the top are standard, you can probably find the tank and lid at petland or something or online. Cost of maybe $20-30??

I myself have been considering using rubbermaid containers for various purposes underneath the sump. Cost well under $10 each from target or walmart, etc

Currently I use a 5g water jug (the kind used in water coolers) as my ATO. I may consider using a 5 g bucket (like the salt buckets). Both of these type of containers were free.

Either way, they will all hold the water/mixture you want them to hold.

ecvernon- I've seen float valve hanging kits.
My comp internet is being funky right now, I wanted to give you a link, but drsfostersmith has some.
I also saw some hanging kits on ebay when I was originally looking to buy float valves.

I had one made for my 80 gallon rimless, but only because my 5 gallon tank wouldn't fit and I'm going for a clean look all around. You can use any container like everyone else said and will be much cheaper. I made this one also, might use it as a tank for my kids. Hope this helps.
