Skimmer Waste Collector

Hey,
As title states, I am looking to buy a used skimmer waste collector.

I want one of the collectors that have the shutoff/safety feature and odor control/carbon cup.

i just dont want to come home to a skimmer that has overflowed its collection chamber.

I am looking to buy this USED but decent condition.


(Right now i have just plugged the port on the skimmer collection cup (it's pretty low) and will just empty when it gets 75% full. But would like to have to change it less).

I use a 5 gallon bucket with lid!

Yes, I thought about that at first,
But then I saw a bunch of people having problems where their skimmer overflowed due to some other issue, and then they came home to find their bucket or more commonly used their 1g milk jug/2 liter bottle overflowing in their stand.

Trust me, I'll totally just plug it up and physically change it out as I am used to. If i hadnt read about issues some people have with skimmer overflow (my first skimmer overflowed quite often) i would definitely just use a 5g bucket with a lid to blot the stench.

But I've seen the used prices of these, as pretty reasonable so at the cost of $30-40 picked up/shipped for something that says that it is essentially overflow 'proof' I'm willing.

I use a 1G Poland spring bottle that I have connected to my collection cup on my skimmer that I change every 1-2 weeks and never have had any problems or overflows either.

5 gallon bucket and an ato float flipped upside down so when the levels rise it shuts off the skimmer. Autotopoff.com sells them

In the mean time, I've just plugged the hole.


The ASM G4 collection cup is HUGE, like 1.5-2x bigger than my last skimmer, so it takes a lot longer to get .75 to the top.

its lso good to hear that many people are doing it the easy way and just filling up a jug.
