Most leopard wrasses are 'expert only'... And for a good reason...
IMO , in most cases you would have a better chance of it surviving if you buy from someone that has had it in their tank for a while! Otherwise I would suggest that you take a lot of pics when you first buy it... It may be your only chance to do so!

I have done plenty of research and am aware that they are expert only and for a reason... Completely agree with you on that..

Thats kind of why I started this thread in hopes just incase that someone how has one might be tearing their tank down or may be looking to get rid of one...

Figured it would be a long shot but couldn't hurt.

In the meantime I will look at LFS stock , if they have one which seems to be eating and looks relatively healthy and they have had it for a few weeks at least, then I would purchase...

Def don't want to blindly order one off the internet w/o seeing it first :/

I got mine from coral theory great price but I didn't know about the expert only , so it didn't want to eat nothing but live brine shrimp but when I ran out it disappeared .

Mine I didn't see for a couple of days. I have to use a flashlight to look from under the tank to make sure its there, you can see it buried in the sand. they like the company of other fish to feel secure. mine didn't do well in my QT. but when I move it to the display tank it started eating.. One thing I noticed about leopard is they mimic the fish around them when feeding.. i say that cause when I purchased mine 2 yrs ago, it started hanging around my tang and angel, so now my leopard loves veggie.. now competes with tang and angel for seeweed..
