I have some but as stated, it's hard to get a large bag of it. When ever you order some online you get barely a frag. The stuff should grow fast and eventually you will have to start trimming it. I'm located in Brooklyn.

In terms of macro, it is considered slow grower. Just like coral, once you get to a certain volume(both softies and SPS) the grow seems very fast because they grow exponentially-1-2-4-16-256... I would say its grow rate is lower with kenya tree coral but faster than green star polyps. Comparing to other macro, its growth rate is no where near the cheato nor caulerpa.

I've had the opposite experience, I have this clump of chaeto under a 6500k led strip refugium in the same tank as the dragons breath, I have yet to see growth in a few weeks. Another example would be GSP (3 inch Matt), has not spread at all in my tank in 3 months while watermelon zoas (2 polyps) have had 6 baby zoas in the last 2 weeks. I can't seem to keep xenia in either one of my tanks while some people throw stalks of it out every week. Every ones experience varies.
