Hey MR. I am setting up a new 28 Gallon Nano Cube. I am using dry rock in order to save money and am looking to start cycling it soon. I am currently shopping around for a RO/DI filter, in fact I have found the one I like but my parents don't want me plumbing so I am trying to figure out what to do with it. So for now I'm looking for 30-40 gallons of RO/DI water so I can at least start my cycle and figure out how to set up the RO/DI filter during the cycling period.

I am also looking for a very small amount of live rock, a few pounds, ideally 1-2 lbs from several sources (I hear this leads to more diversity in bacteria).

Please let me know what you would like for the water and/or live rock. I would prefer to stay on Long Island, ideally in Suffolk County, but will do what I need to do to get this going! Thanks for checking this out.

why not plump it into the bathroom sink? you can get an adapter to put where the screen/aerator is that will convert to 1/4 nylon lines... you might need to make it out of a few parts but I used to do that at my parents. easy to change back and forth.

Thanks for everyone who responsed. ValorG I might end up taking that trip out I am sending you a PM. ISNYC thanks for the idea I was hoping to get a better price than at a store but that is actually not a bad deal. JoeB I will look into the plumbing I am seriously clueless with that and my dad is hesistant to do any plumbing for my aquariums which they are not a big fan of anyway so it is kind of tough. But thanks.

Anyone else who would have any leads please let me know. Also anyone by Suffolk who has some extra live rock from an established tank please let me know I could really use it to help seed my tank. I will even give it back if necessary! Thanks.
