do you have 2 units? for each you need an auto shut off valve and a float valve for the collection bucket. my line is screwed in to the float valve with a compression type fitting so i can unscrew it when needed.
I don't have 2 units but basically I wanna run my rodi tubing to my kalk topoff let it run fill up over night then take rodi tubing to my fresh rodi bucket and salt to fill them up they r stored in different spots the basement so basically wanna be able to roll up tubing put it away when I'm full but when I need to fill my barrels I want to have a auto shut of incase like I've done 2 times I forget and have flood
To get an RODI system to automatically shut off you need 3 parts:
1. A check valve
2. An auto shut off valve
3. A valve (e.g., a float valve) at end end of the output tube.
We just changed our username from Buckeye Field Supply to Buckeye Hydro and it won't let us post the picture we wanted to to show you how to plumb it in... sorry.
Be careful with ASOV's - this is not something where you want to shop based on price alone. Over the years we've tried many brands before we settled on the brand we've now carried for years. It's not the cheapest. We found the cheapest versions we could buy just didn't work well/consistently.
Well, yes. The ASOV's typically have 4 ports. You snip some lines on your existing RO system and route the lines through the ASOV and check valve. So if you get an ASOV, just to make your life a little easier, you might want to also buy some 1/4" tubing to help you plumb the ASOV in.
