Heya,
I have a CK AIO 16g here that needs a light source.

It has acrylic on top so about 2" around the rim is covered, leaving only about 10" open for the light source.

There are 2 mini 'ledges' for a fixture to sit on top that is glued on (it's a bit loose now though). I think it was made to hold a small CF fixture. but that's been misplaced.

I'm open to LEDs, T5s, MH (14k) anything really.

This tank will TRY to keep SPS since my regular tank can't seem to keep low N+P values to save its life.

please tell me:
what the item is specifically, as in I can take the name and model # you've given and look it up online for reviews/etc.
how long have you had it
how long has it been used in general, if you are not the first owner
anything I should know about it's overall functioning i.e. needs TLC

This is an old pic of the tank, but the opening looks like this:

I have a 120w LED kit from Wingo...can I use this?
It is manually dimmable, full spec.
I mean...some folks use radions on their tiny tanks...without a huge clearance....Eh, let's see what I get first.

I'll have to track that persons thread in the morning. Must go celebrate new years.

Happy New Year folks

really? when I told him what i might use the LED for he was immediately shocked!

you know what...I'll get the tank set up before friday. I'm going to borrow a par meter and see what par numbers I get.

will have to rig something up if i need to elevate it over the tank.

thanks!

Sweet, thanks.
I'm going to use the left over wood I have from my old canopy and make a stand for the light.

I'll save the money for the pumps I have to buy!

Close thread.
