I'm not 100% how to title this thread, but anyway...

I'm looking for some interesting or hard to find fish. Open to vendors and members as well. These fish would need to be small to medium size when adults, and I'm leaning toward angels, but I don't want to limit things. Tiny angelfish in the sub-2 inch range would be ideal.

I'm not strictly looking for angelfish, but I'm also not looking for clowns, tangs, puffers, triggers, wrasses, etc.

Please PM ONLY. Please DO NOT post in this thread if you have something for sale. :)

Also, if you saw something rare at an LFS recently, feel free to post. Thanks.

There have been some pintail and lunate fairy wrasses popping up lately. I know DD has a Japanese lunate avaliable but it's priced at 500. I paid 350 for the same fish two years ago from a local vendor. It's a very rare wrasse and there aren't to many in the US. There is a Philippine variant that is cheaper but it's colors are not as nice.

Eric ..I just recently picked up a blue spotted Tamarin, not really rare just not seen in our area that often from AV...they do have another one as well as a few different species of Leopards all reasonably priced, not the hundreds you'll spend on something really rare....however the Tamarin does grow large 16" but would take mannnnnny years.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Mike, a tamarin wrasse would be awesome, but they would get too big for my tank. I'm not ruling out a leopard wrasse, though.

In general, I've been struggling with fish over the past few weeks (everyone is healthy but I can't decide which fish to add). Most of the usual fish are not interesting to me right now. :/

AV has a male Leopard wrasse from the Red Sea (at least he was still there Sunday). It is amazing looking and already eating everything. If you get it then the temptation to go back and get him would be gone for me :) They have a picture of him on one of their threads here
