I have seen in the pass people putting foam under there tanks wondering where I can get this or someone that may have somewhere in there garage or something looking for 24x24 piece thanks guys in advance
I use it for my acrylic tanks on plywood stands. I think it is also used for glass tanks without the plastic trim!
Hopefully someone more familiar with glass cubes will chime in!
From my experience, if you have a Acrylic tank or a glass tank without plastic trim you need to use the foam.
Glass and Acylic need very flat surfaces, most stands are not 100% true to flat surfaces.
without the foam you create pressure points from the stand to the tank, and this can cause a crack.
very, VERY, VERY important to get a high density foam. If you go to HD or Lowe's, get the Corning 'Pink Panther' 1/2" rigid insulation. No need to go thicker than that.
