Need a QT setup asap

I got ich from someone at the swap through corals.....i dip everything, but some bags were leaking and porbably infected my tank that as i floated the coral for temp acclimation.....looking for a 40g w/ filter stand not important.....let me know what you have..

I have a 20g setup available, stand, filter, hood, light, net, cupramine copper and copper test kit. I know it's not the size you're looking for but figured I'd offer. Looking for $80. It's basically brand new, used once for 5 days because none of my fish survived

I noticed my ich on Wednesday, trying to do this asap, before i start losing fish.....i have 5 tangs 3"-4" each....2 clowns, midas blenny, algae blenny, 2 mandarins, blue throat trigger, flame angel, neon dotty back..... $80 isnt bad, but the size is no good....hell even a 40 gallon is on the small side....but that would be the smallest i would go with that amount of fish

Just thought can you set up a brute pail? Not ideal but easier to set up more than one if you have the space and cheaper than buying larger qt tank

You're better off getting a garbage can at Home Depot and call it a day.

Wow...didnt even think of this....i do have 2 32 gallon brute trash cans that i use for water changes.....and without the fish and feeding them in the dispaly i wouldnt have to do water changes for the duration of the QT.....just dose to maintain my alk and cal.....

The only thing you can't do really is use copper or you won't be able to use that pail for future water changes

Was it through a vendor, or swapping with members?

Members, vendors dont use ziplock bags...lol.....my fault really....but with over 25 frags, you tend to become lax and not think straight....like i knew at the swap that bags were leaking and when i got home i didnt think twice...maybe had i purchased a fish it would have hit me....its just going to be a pain trying to catch all the fish without stressing them out....shooting for night time capture

It just kills me because i just moved and upgraded and did not lose a single fish in october....and now this

Same thing happened to me though. Downgraded on December, got ich end of January, lost all my fish by February cuz I didn't react on time. At least you have a plan and you're doing something about it right away, I was stupid and negligent. Hope it works out, I know the frustration but hang in there

Yea ive been through this before, luckily i had a 29 biocube not being used...everything was going great, had the salt down to .10 or whatever the reading is, neglected cleaning the algae off the glass for the longest time. 1 night decided to clean the tank right after feeding and forgot to plug the return pump back on. By morning my sohal, blond naso, hippo, 2 clowns, 2 ruby red dragonets, Caribbean atlantic tang and bi color blenny were gone....i assume the algae in the water did them in, probably depleted all the oxygen but im no scientist....only one that survived was my fire fish
