I am now solidly in the market for a tank around , 72x30x24

a. 3 panel starphire tank

b. glass or acrylic with clear euro bracing (top or bottom)

c. black or clear silicone

d. Back external overflow/ghost overflow (no internal overflow)

(I may be amenable to a variance in the dimensions just in case someone has these in stock/canceled orders waiting for a new owner/ great condition used tank. Also, lighting options at 36" wide may be too troublesome even though I like the idea of the space. Also, I don't want a tall tank.)

The sump will not sit directly under the tank. I would be interested in hearing options for a nontraditional short stand ( via pm).

I can do a 3 week lead time if you need. Perhaps more if necessary.

Mshur- yes, I remember what you were saying about yours. That's why even though I'd love the width, I know i'll end up going with a 30" wide.

Cmantis- no, I really want the 225g I guess, 72x30x24. I need it to be shorter than the traditional 300dd.

Crox, I'll check out your past threads. If used I want it on the newer side if only because I hear silicone may wear down around year 5.

Thanks for the offers so far but...

Where are the tank maker? I've only received bites from hobbyists resales but nothing fits my needs.

I am slightly flexible....

72x30x24
72x +30" x 24-26"
I could even do a bit longer than 72...

I am just not interested in less than 72" or less than 30 w, or more than 26" tall.

Mainly due to physical constraints of the space. I need the tank to get through the basement doorway and of course to fit the height of the room too!!

What's a guy to do?

Yep, checked in with him already. Beautiful work.
However, I have a budget and I'm not willing to go over considering all of the other parts of the system I will have to change I'm moving from an 80g DB rimless to over 225g. I'm excited but I will have to settle for a nice and functional tank versus beautiful craftsmanship.

I know I told Cmantis that I didn't want it, but I may just have to end up with the Marineland 300 DD if I can find a seller. That adds an extra cost for me to open up the wall for the stairs because it's over 24" high but that tank plus that work is doable.

Any recent Glass Cages buyers??
