I had a horrible BA problem about 8 months ago. I still have some creep up from time to time on the overflow, rocks here and there.
But, I tried everything. Emeralds will go after the tiny stuff. No fish I ever got worked. I'm glad to say my problem is basically gone because of manual removal. I scrubbed rock in heated and ph balanced buckets/containers of water, rinsed in a second of the same. I used scalpels and brushes. I used sweat and tears. Don't try to remove them in the tank, because if it pops you'll release the spores. Pick up a few emeralds to control the little stuff (I never had trouble with eating zoas, so that's IMO) It will take effort and time, but you'll be amazed at the results much better than the hit or miss livestock. Good Luck!

Emerald crabs will do even more mess since they pop bubble algae and spear the seats all over the tank. As Lenny said foxface will take care of them and also other rabbit fish family members.
I had big problem with bubble algae and bought magnificent foxface he eat all of them.

Do the fox face swallow the bubble algae whole, without breaking it? Otherwise how do they not release spores...just like the emerald crabs would do.

Most likely yes, they love the "juice" I read about it before got my foxface. Emerald crabs use claws and rip bubbles apart but you're in this hobby long enough to understand the difference... I have no reason to lie or any interests saying this I didn't create this theory just trying to help cause I know what nightmare bubble algae can be.
