I just started a discussion on this. Doesn't need to be anything very complex. If you have room (also depends on the fish) you can use a 20 gallon (high) tank or 29 gallon tank for most fish. Just add pieces of PVC and maybe plastic plants so the fish have places to hide, a sponge filter with air pump and a cheap light.
