For what type of tank you are planning to use it for?
I have a Hydor slim skim ( nano model , i think) which I used in my old fusion 30L tank.
I drilled 1 1/4" hole on the bottom side to let it in take the water rather than on top to replicate the ghost skimmer.
You can patch the round hole with any thing, if you want and you will never see it.
It is much quieter than the ghost skimmer.
It has been laying around and was planning to get rid of it.
I can give it to you if you want to try out.
