Step 1 where do I get supplies ? I see brs has a diy kit. Is it any good ?

Purchase the mesh from them and get the window kit from HD

I got one made for my 30 gal but it's 24x24 don't use it I can sale it you for $30

You could get the kit from them but like Loose tenticle said you can get the mesh there and then go to HD or Lowes and there is a section for screen windows/doors. There they sell a complete kit with the rails, corners, and trim.
