Hi everyone, Getting back into the hobby in the next 6 months and starting to do research on tanks. I have a spot in my house that can hold a 36" Long by 24" wide footprint, height of the tank is up for debate at the moment but the more gallons the better, I was thinking 24" high. The question i have for all you reefers is, is there anywhere in the Tri-state area where i can get something custom made, or is there a standard tank size that i am just forgetting about?

Thanks in advance!

I've definitely seen a 36"x18"x24" (65 gallon), and 40 breeders are 36"x18"x16". The 40Bs I'm fairly sure you can find at Petcos/Petsmarts.

While the 18" is 6" less than the 24", it's a pretty good thing if you're planning on running a sump/electrical behind the tank, since there's plenty of room that you can put behind the tank.

Yea I wanna max out the footprint and do the biggest tank possible so 36” long and 24” deep is both a minimum and Maximum. Which is why I am wondering if anyone has had experience with a custom tank builder in the area
