Thats not unreasonable if they are truly a mated pair, as in they have spawned and are actively mating. I paid 120 for a "paired" set, that had not started mating yet.

Yeah, the store did not receive it as a pair from their supplier. Alan (from H2O) told me:

It is through trial and error, by placing different maroons together in order to pair them up. I would imagine that is time consuming and u probably won't find a pair easily. They fetch a good price tag. Plus gold strip maroons are gorgeous. Too bad my tank is too small. Otherwise i'd go for it.
