no... they will not last. They are very hard to keep and they will pick at LPS and some soft coral. They primarily eat coraline algae and sponges in nature.
We highly discourage this fish from any tank. They are extremely difficult to keep. As stated above, their natural diet is very difficult to recreate in captivity.
Only very mature tanks (over a few years) and very experienced aquarists should attempt this fish. They will likely starve to death.
Sorry for the discouraging news, but I applaud your research BEFORE buying this beautiful fish. They should be left in nature.
I tried one of these in a 55 gallon tank by himself and it was eating mysis shrimp and swimming gracefully but still after 3 weeks it died for unknown reason. Wasted 55 dollars.
