Due to budget issues, I am delaying my tank upgrade from my current 37G AGA Tank to a 48" Length Tank with much more width.

For now my 37G is a 30Lx12Wx23H. I know its not the best sized tank for a reef. Its a mixed reef tank; so far everything going well. I run a Sundial T5 on it. 4x24W only.

Luckily, my SPS is a the top of my tank about 6 inches away from the tank. My montis are growing, digis are well orange, milli's are hairy, but some of my acros are good but the color isn't as good as I wish it was. My acans and other LPS are mid to bottom and are doing very well. Seen lots of new heads on my frogspawn, torch and acans after 3 months of keeping them. As of softies, its mostly zoas and clove polyps. These are doing well as well which are on the lower portion of the tank with two ricordeas.

For now softies, LPS are growing crazily but my SPS hasnt really taken off yet. I'm thinking it could be my light fixture. I wasn't going to upgrade my light until I get the new 48" length tank I always wished for. However, times are rough now and cant really upgrade to a larger tank since larger tank will mean larger everything from more livestock and larger equipment.

Since I have a 30" tank most fixtures are 24" or 36". The ones that are 30" usualy have bulbs for 24" only. So I decided on getting a 36" light since if I get a 48" and save it for the upgraded tank - it's too long for the current tank.

Where if I get a 36" light - It is a more usable fixture for now and its something I can use later on my 50G tank (FW setup) or sell it later on.

As stated earlier my budget is tight but willing to pay for the best light per buck. Im searching for an used fixture since it'll be cheaper as long as its in great condition.

My options are as follows: ATI PowerModule but I will save this money for the 48" version for my future tank I crave for.

T5 ONLY -
Aquatinics Tx5
Tek Light 6 Bulb
Suggestions are welcome?

MH/T5 Combo-
Current outer orbit 2x250W + (4)39W T5
AquaMedic Ocean Light 2x250W + (2 )39W T5s
Suggestions are welcomed?

Anyone want to prefer what is best for my tank now and best light which wont rack up the ultility bills. If you have these lights , please pm me with pic/price/details of fixture

Please reply to post if you have suggestions of the light - I'll be following this daily since I'm interested in growing my corals quicker.
