For all the local Long Island/Queens vendors out there, or anyone in the general western suffolk area who may have an extra I can borrow until I get a new one, my Mag Drive 5 return pump stopped working about 10 minutes ago. I have the powerheads and the HOB fuge still running and I dropped a heater into the tank for the time being. Hopefully that will be good enough until tomorrow. If anyone has any Mag 5s in stock, please either drop me a post or a PM and how early you will be around tomorrow so I may expidite getting my sump back up.
On a side note, I've heard stories about if you have a canister filter and leave water in the filter while its turned off for more then an hour, that recirculating that water into the tank will cause a major crash due to whatever buildup in the filter. Does that bode true also for a normal sump? All I have is a wet dry filter with no biomedia. Just curious if I would have to change the water out of the sump tomorrow too. Wouldnt really be a big deal since Im due for a water change anyway.
