None of the stores I've visited so far have anything but Turbos, Margerita, and Bumble Bee snails. Oh, and Nassarius snails, but I'm looking for things that attack algae atm. I'm looking to pick up a handful of Astraea snails (4) Trochus snails (6) and Cerith snails (4) to make up the core of my anti-algae cleanup crew. If you have some you'd like to part with, or know somewhere in Suffolk that's selling them, let me know. :)

Turbos, Margerita, and even Bumble Bee snails eat algae. If you are counting on snails to solve your problems, good luck. They can help but you have to do whatever it takes to reduce the nutrients that algae feeds on. Cerith are not big algae eaters. Turbos are usually pretty good eaters.

One of the vendors has a sale now with $5 shipping.

Actually, I found some Astraea yesterday at a store I'd been to before -- it seems like everything that eats algae is called a 'turbo' no matter that it's not a turbanid; however, a more knowledgeable sales dude set my newb butt on the right track. :)

I actually wound up picking up a sea hare at the same place; it seems like, between them, the snails and the hare are starting to make inroads on the algae, though not very rapidly.
