Looking for 2 icecap var. speed fans 120mm

OK Where did those who have ice cap fans purchase them? I was thinking of reefgeek.com the 120mm (4") fans were $42.95 with standard $6 shipping.

Had one, died after 1 year. They are the same as a 4"(120mm) fancy computer fans with a built in thermostat to change the speed of the fan. Not sure if they are the same temp range.

I use two chepo computer fans with a wall wort on the same timer as my MH lights, cheaper alternative solution.

I'm starting to think the same thing. Saw some cheap fans at that fish place but I think I'm going to by some cheapo fans on ebay for $5 a piece and set them on a timer.

Unrelated question: Do Electronic ballasts fire double ended bulbs as well as the magnetic ballasts?

i believe magnetic overdrives some, or all, bulbs.electric runs them at the rated wattage, and i think sometimes maybe a little lower, not by too much though. bulbs have a longer life with electronic ballasts when compared to magnetic.do a search on RC's lighting forum.

mine icecap has fired everything I plugged into it. Is yours a newer version? ie. not long like a VHO ballast.
