you want something that lasts longer than 8 or 12 hours. i don't think hardware stores and walmart sell the 30 and 40 hour ones.

Lots of places carry them. Just be sure you don't get the hand warmer type. Those are the ones that will only last for 6-10 hrs. Not nearly enough for what you need.

Also, don't let the heat pack touch the bag with the frag in it. Tape the heat pack to the top of the styrofoam (on the inside of course). Only tape two edges and let the expanse of the heat pack 'breath'.
