i hear you but im having heat issues with my tank.. its either way to hot but when i throw the fan on it cools off.but then goes to low.. i know if i had one of these--i will control when each turns off or on instead of me losing sleep and running to see temp every ten minutes. i have a lil OCD ..lolol. i came home from work just to see temp.. lol

I got the RKE and it's pretty cool. My sump fan is not on constantly and I have greater peace of mind that the heater is not going to go crazy and cook the tank. My t5 lights do not have a timer so I like that I can control the lighting. The probes make monitoring temp and ph a snap. The Net module allows me to monitor parameters over the internet and can send email alerts too, so despite the fact that it's pricey (unlike the rkl that comes in at $99) I'm able to rationalize the cost away.
