Why not just get a Reefkeeper Lite? Cheap enough and has a few more outlets just in case you want to add some supplemental lighting like fuge and moon lights.

I now another tank up. My new 2nd tank is a Solana 25 gallon tank with MH lighting. With the low end basic Reef Keeper light, is it inlcuded that the temperature controller can be used for heating and at the same time for a chiller? Or do I have to purchase upgrades for this function.

You have me thinking. At the basic level, can this unit simultaineous use 1 outlet for MH lighting. A 2nd and 3rd outlet for a heater and chiller?

Also, can it do internet to monitor, or not.

Larry, Hope you don't mind me jumping in on here. The ReefKeeper Lite (RKL) is a great alternative to the basic timers. The RKL comes with a temperature probe that will be the groundwork for setting and controlling your Solana temp with a heater, chiller or even a fan.

The RKL will also control your MH lights, actinic supplementation, and you can even use it to monitor pH in the future if you decide to use a Ca Reactor.
