Im looking to buy a good quality heater for a 75 gallon tank with a 40 gallon sump. It should be very accurate, mine just blew out and sent electric current into my tank. SHOCKING!!!!literally

The only way you're going to get everything you asked for with a hobby grade heater, ie: LCD screen, very accurate, and good quality, is to buy a controller to go with your new heater. The best way to go, IMO, is to get a Reefkeeper Lite (RKL). You can control your heater, lights, pumps, fan, Ca reactor, and chiller with the RKL. If you wanted to pick up a Ranco Controller to control just the heater, that will work too. The cost of a Ranco Controller is not much less than the RKL and therefore makes the RKL a much better deal.

Heaters are probably the #1 piece of equipment to fail in this hobby. Any hobby grade heater should be protected with a controller.

Hope this helps,
Russ
