yeah im pretty sure a new kitchen price range is going to be more then setting up a 150g. you better make that a 250g if she wants a kitchen lol. 350g if a COMPLETE kitchen haha.

i have the same thing with my girl. i say the larger dog you want, the larger tank i can have. i told her take the weight of the dog and multiply that by 2. im lucky because she only like dogs 150lbs and up lol. like her st. ban thats 212 pounds lol. but right now not big enough place to live so we both get a big no.

Bigsink makes a great point.. I would have aimed for like a 500g and settled on something over 300g's. =) Good luck with your upgrade..

Ryangrieder....I saw your thread..I can't do the 72" in length on the wall I'm putting it otherwise I would have gone for a 180 or 220 ...thanks

cthoughts1....if I only had the room because man after seeing Alfie's beautiful 450 I would have gone larger....
