Hi. I am new to the saltwater world. I just purchased a 55 gallon tank got 3 bags of live sand and 90 pounds of live rock. Everything is set up except the filter. I have just a regular fresh water filter at the moment circulating the water around. I need help with a wet dry filter. If anyone is selling or can recommend what i need. I would like to have What type of filter should i get and return pump. I got a protien filter as well as a little fan thingy that circulates the water inside. If anyone is selling filter please let me know. I live in Staten Island. Thanks

Ps. I was looking into the Pro Aquatics wet dry filter 125 series for 150 bucks... needs return pump. Any recommendations?

I would not use a wet/dry or your freshwater filter if you want to go with a reef setup. You can make a very inexpensive sump to keep your protein skimmer, heater, return pump, temperature probe, etc.

What do you mean? How would I make an inexpensive sump? I think maybe going fish only will be the way to go. Im way to inexperienced for reef coral at this time. So what do you suggest? And are you selling anything?
