I hear LEDS are great for coral growth. currently i have T5 lighting but looking to upgrade.

Something with a timer (since i dont get home on time) for 30 gallon standard size tank. However, i did notice how expensive they could be but here some people purchased some models for about 400-600.

If anyone knows anything please let me know as i would like to upgrade soon.

No i think its longer than that.... lol Its a 30 gallon tank and im using 24inch t5 lighting

Hmmm depending on the length 30" or 36" you might be able to get away with one AI Sol unit. My brother switched out the optics to all 70s and the spread isnt bad for 30 inches. Also depends on what your keeping (sps, lps, softies). Another idea is to wait for the AI nanos and get two. That would be around 600 dollar area. I dont have too much knowledge on other fixtures.

Note, my Black Vanila is not the same as the one in AliExpress which most members here mistakened!!! Don't be misinformed

1)Mine are made with lens 30, 60, or 90 and the PAR is much higher-most others including the one shown the post by inneed is 120 degree
2)You can choose between colors of LEDs while most others on Aliexpress are just mass produced in one type of color including the one shown my inneed
3)Mine are made by different factory even though we have similar case but NOT SAME
3)Mine is US warranty.
Shipping a light back to China is about $70-80 USD. So effectively when you buy from Aliepxress you are buying "as is" even though they do provide you warranty if you bring it back to China. I have factories in China and I also get wholesale from China, I still do not send my back my broken items even though I am an OEM. So imagine as a general user, would spend 80 to spend back something that's $200 and wait 2 months without light?


The Cree Eco Aquarium Light I sell comes with 2 dimmers but only one power cord, so you cannot set effect like 12:00-5:00 "all on", and then 5:00 -10:00 "Blue only".

As for the Cree, I have clients who use them in Brooklyn. We can setup something since I am going to run a PAR test over his setup anyway.
