If you use ONLY 18W in a 45 gallon tank, surely you cannot grow corals with. Light output of 18W of LED equates to about 39W-54W of T5.

I was told they were 3w per led . I use a 250 watt metal halide but when that goes off is 18 w sufficient as my only actinic ?

Actinics 2.0 is NOT 3W bulbs. They are 1W bulbs. My LEDs are of the newer kind so they are very bright and getting very close to the older 3W that other people uses.


For actinics when the MH is off, it is good enough.

In fact, you should see a little to some tone difference even when the MH is on.
