It's possible but since the square cup has an over flow pipe, and there is a hole on one side of the skimmer where the pipe fits into, this shouldn't happen. I'm not sure it if would make any difference in the operating of the skimmer though.

It's counter intuitive. According to the diagram, the overflow isn't supposed to go into that hole. If you put it in that way, the clear side will face away from you. All I know is that turning it around worked!

The first picture is how I had it first. Notice the solid side is facing the back. The second pic is after I turned it around - all clear sides facing the back. The third is the directions

You might wanna pull that persons leg out of there it could block some of the flo through the sump, and the shoe could produce nitrates after a little while.

Oh that...I dropped a few things in the tank when I was setting it up. The skimmer will get them eventually.

I got on too, it's sitting right next to the medical doser I never setup. One day I may actually use it.
